In this role, You'll build strong relationships with the SLT and respective S&P teams around the globe. Because there is a dual mandate for this role, you will take region standard methodologies and drive consistency across other regions, i.e., be the glue to connect the regional innovation together and bring global initiatives into the region. You will also play an integral role in connecting the dots for segment strategies across the regions.

With your dual engagement (region, plus segment), you will swiftly understand and advocate the critical needs of the region and identify how the GVSE Global S&P team can help. In addition, you will become a SME in the segment strategies being developed by GSSI and, upon request, help the SLT member collect points of view and data from all GVSE regions.

Using your strong business insight and existing knowledge of Cisco and our GTM and data, you will build solid business cases outlining opportunities which grab our stakeholders’ attention. Once an initiative or activity is prioritized, you will work with both internal and external associates to define the plan of activities, resources, and timelines needed to push the initiative forward in a timely and consistent manner.

You are continually communicating regional and global priorities, and building strong ongoing relationships with all relevant parties. You can promptly prioritize those items that you should be working on and those that you should not.

Who You'll Work With

Partner with the GVSE S&P Leaders and SLT, as well as partner with multi-functional global and regional teams. Also, collaborate closely with your stakeholders, to swiftly understand the critical priorities in region and in each segment. You will also work with critical partners required to move strategic initiatives forward, including but not limited to the Global GVSE S&P teams, the regional S&P and Operations teams, etc.

  • You have 5+ years of experience working in strategy and planning teams.

  • You have experience in building strong business cases, with ability to pull data from Cisco’s data bases and draw conclusions and make recommendations

  • You demonstrate good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills in working with people at all levels.

  • You have a natural ability to build consensus and drive decision-making and have proven your ability to work multi-functionally to accomplish program objectives.

  • Strong software experience required: Microsoft office, Visio, Smart sheets, Outlook, WebEx conferencing

  • BA/BS – required. MBA and/or Masters in Project/Program Management - highly desired

  • PMP, CSM, Six Sigma certification - highly desired
