Cisco Security is looking for a Technical Lead to help Cisco to unleash the power of Common Services Platform.

We have a huge responsibility to cater to huge traffic of millions of requests per second, and you will help setting up systems which can cater to this load in a secure, reliable and auto-scaling way.

What you’ll do

  • Own and build components of Common Services Platform and/or Solutions for a scalable cloud deployment scheme.

  • Partner closely with product management to identify, scope, estimate work for team.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams

  • Contribute to POCs and perform quantitative and qualitative technology comparisons.

  • Lead design, influence and contribute to implementation to deliver quality and timely release.

  • Mentor engineers to produce their best work.

  • Product and Engineering Management, to identify short term achievements and long-term goals.

  • Engineers, in your group to achieve near and long-term goals.

  • DevOps group, to jointly govern infrastructure.

  • Architect’s group, for alignment on architecture of related products and influence shared technology decisions.

Who You Are

  • An agile, pragmatic, and hardworking software engineer with proven experience in handling complex problems having very large traffic.

  • You pride yourself on your communication and interpersonal skills, on your keen eye for both aesthetic design and code, and an ability to autonomously plan and prioritize your work assignments based on the objectives of the team.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in React, TypeScript, ES6, HTML5 and CSS

  • 3+ years of NodeJS, Git, QA (Jest, Cypress) and Storybook

  • 5+ years working in Agile Scrum

  • Experience of at least 1 year with Confluence and Jira.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience taking difficult problems and translating them into solutions.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and summarize information to others concisely.
