WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an experienced International Tax Manager, you will be responsible for US International Tax Compliance, Provision and planning. Your role will include the following responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of US international tax calculations and analysis, including E&P, Subpart F inclusion, GILTI, BEAT, and FTC limitation
Manage all aspects of US GAAP tax accounting of non-US operations for the quarterly close process
Assist in US international tax planning. Model and analyze scenarios to assess and advise on potential tax implications from operational changes, restructuring initiatives, and tax law changes
Identify and support tax technology and process improvement initiatives
Support IRS audit of foreign operations as needed
Train, mentor, and develop a team of 7 to 8 tax professionals
ESTIMATED PERCENTAGE BREAKDOWN IN THE FUNCTIONAL AREAS:
40% US International Tax Compliance and Reporting
40% International Tax Provision/ETR
15% US International Tax Planning
5% Special Projects, Process Improvements, and Audit Defense
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be joining Cisco's highly specialized Global Tax and Customs team based in San Jose, CA. You will work cross functionally as a member of the broader Finance team.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a demonstrated International tax professional with positively leads by example. You are a highly motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
BA/BS in accounting; Masters in Taxation preferred
Minimum 10 years overall experience with US multinational operations with 5 years of hands on experience in provision and US international tax compliance
Strong technical experience in US international tax and US GAAP accounting principles
ALSO HIGHLY PREFERABLE:
Combination of private industry and Big 4 background
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, OneSource
Prior people management experience leading a team
