Cisco Software Asset Management - Entitlement Analyst - 1425483 in RTP, North Carolina

What You'll Do

A Software Asset Management Entitlement Analyst that will assist the ITAM team to develop and maintain Entitlement Baselines (EB) and Effective License Positions (ELP) for software contracts at Cisco. The use of EB's and ELP's will enable Cisco to stay in compliance with the contract and provide data insights needed for contract renewals and negotiations.

Contract and Publisher Management

  • Create & manage new/existing publishers in FNMS

  • Create & manage new/existing contracts (amendments)

  • Stay current on all Tier 1 & 2 contract changes, license terms/ managing and controlling risk

License Compliance Management

  • Review and incorporate license changes

  • Update entitlements based on renewals and additional license purchases

  • Import purchase order data into FNMS

  • Linking PO's and creating license records

  • Review and correct unassigned evidence

Entitlement and License Position Management

  • Reconcile software entitlements to software deployments

  • Identify potential risks and optimization opportunities, and work with partners for remediation

  • Identifying under- consumed licenses

  • Support Commercial Excellence and GPS during renewals

  • Drive ownership across products and publishers

Reports/Dashboards

  • Publisher specific compliance reports/dashboards for partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with software asset management lifecycle and licensing

  • Experience in developing software entitlement baseline and license positions with consumption reporting, process & tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of customer facing or operational experience,

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in Software Asset Management

  • Strong proficiency in asset management tools (Flexera, ServiceNow, others) & reporting tools is required

  • Industry process knowledge (Agile, ITIL, Process mapping)
