WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will be a key person in the I.T. Finance team within Corporate Finance. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner directly with the IT leaders and business operations teams to serve as a key liaison between finance and IT on the key cycles of planning, forecasting, closing & reporting as well as enable the organization to improve to the next level of analytics with regard to Services costing. The successful candidate will become a trusted business partner, putting more emphasis on pro-active planning, using plans as a guiding principle to the execution, and followed by on-demand reporting.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with budget owners, gather financial planning details, conduct interlock sessions, and help facilitate target setting for the fiscal year as well quarterly recommits. Become subject matter expert for the functional organization, tie back business execution and deliverables to financials.
Conduct forecast review meetings, engage data-driven conversation, provide the explanation to variances, make recommendation pro-actively as needed to ensure execution to spending guidance, and facilitate accurate reporting from financial systems.
Produce monthly forecast, Drive accountability to ensure monthly execution by spend categories, track actual execution against commit, collaborate effectively with other team members and communicate results.
Provide managerial reporting by programs, funding sources, initiatives, and assist with forward-looking planning. Load financial details in financial systems for fiscal year budgeting,quarterly recommits and monthly close.
Track & manage functional headcount & resources. Approve PRs and cross charges for the functional group, reconcile open PO report, GL and A/P details for analysis and month end closing with ad-hoc reporting as required.

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide leadership, direction and analysis to one of the Leaders with the Cisco IT organization and will work with IT management and business operations at teams at various levels.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
You hold a Bachelors' Degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience. Broad knowledge of US GAAP and its application.
You bring excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with proven financial planning & analysis skills, and the abilityto execute. You can establish and meet timelines
You have prior experience with Spend Management and Budget vs. Actual variance analysis. Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
You bring strong systems and tools skillset to the team; including Business Objects, Fin BI Essbase (Fetch), Oracle, iProcurement, FinABC, System Integrator, T-Recs
You have a passion and strength in MS Excel modeling (v-lookup, lookup, sumifs,countif, if/and/or, pivot tables, etc.)
