Cisco DevOps Data Engineer in RTP, North Carolina
What You'll Do
Collect and prepare data from diverse sources for analysis, ensuring high-quality and relevant datasets for effective decision-making.
Led big data infrastructure and performed data engineering tasks, ensuring efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
Design, create, and support AI-driven products, focusing on delivering scalable and impactful AI solutions that meet the business objectives.
Utilize version control for maintaining codebase integrity and collaboration, fostering a collaborative and error-free development environment.
Who You'll Work With
The Enterprise DevOps as a Service (EDaaS) team at Cisco is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to play an essential role in designing and implementing robust data solutions for the Build Environment Security. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating an efficient and scalable data architecture that empowers our organization to derive valuable insights seamlessly. EDaaS is a fast-paced group working to modernize and evolve development workflows in Cisco Engineering with modern, cloud-native tools and processes. The ideal candidate is self-motivated to gather, manage, and analyze large amounts of data to drive insights and decision-making. You are excited to join an innovative, continually learning development and operations team.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
Preferred qualifications
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
Experience working with unstructured datasets.
Hands-on experience with data visualization libraries or tools
Experience with emerging AI tools such as OpenAI, Chat GPT, etc.
In-depth experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, etc.
Experience with DevOps technology and cloud services
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of Data Platforms like Snowflake would be a plus
Knowledge of config automation tools such as Puppet, and Ansible would be plus
