What You'll Do

You will help develop the process, implementation strategy, road map, and execution of a global IT Asset and Configuration Management capability using Flexera. You will be part of a team that will build the asset management capability from scratch for Cisco IT and help drive delivery of this capability.

Who You Are

You are a high caliber, multidimensional Software Platform Engineer that will help us grow our Software Asset Management (SAM) practice.

Your Platform Admin Roles and Responsibilities will be:

  • You provide end-to-end technical solution for Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS

  • Scope spans all areas of configuration, applicable IT interfaces, extracts and extensions utilized by Flexera in configuration with existing discovery tools in the environment

  • You are accountable for overall testing of Flexera, and configuration elements and for producing test script documents to support testing outcome

  • You ensure traceability of solution back to requirements and proactively include measurement and reporting

  • You are the lead in support of selected modules, extensions, and platform upgrade

  • Troubleshoot advanced networking, security, and data integration and collection issues in FNM

  • Ensure all components and functions are optimized, including the Product Use Rights Licenses (PURLs), deployment beacons, and that data tables are reporting correctly

  • Load validated license purchase order details into FNM

  • Install, configure, optimize, and support Flexera App Porta

  • Conduct analysis and reporting of contractual entitlements and mapping in the Flexera tool suit

  • You build software license compliance reports using FNM

  • You ensure entitlements are correctly linking to deployment data

Our Minimum Requirement for this Role are:

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in an IT role, 2+ years working experience on Flexera AppPortal application (version 2015 and up

  • Experience on Flexera App Portal installation/upgrades/patches - leading system upgrade on Flexera App Porta

  • Must have experience on Flexera App Portal API integration and Web Service

  • Should have solid knowledge of integration with FlexNet Manager System (FNMS) Service Now, Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager applications (SSCM

  • Working knowledge of software license management and optimization

  • Hands-on experience in a Linux environment

  • Comfortable working with IIS app server

  • Ability to quickly comprehend the capabilities of new technology/trends, and adapt to business need

  • Craft, maintain documentation, knowledge articles and other artifacts for the latest changes in processes

  • Inform and share App Portal usage and software request best practices with new user

  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action

  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

  • Capable of working independently to goals and deadlines with light leadership oversight

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
