What You'll Do

The Security Consulting Engineer is responsible for delivering professional services engagements sold by Cisco’s sales team. You will conduct workshops and whiteboard sessions to gather requirements and present designs. Engagements could include staff augmentation, subscription services, incident response, custom coding and internal projects. The Engineer works independently with the utmost professionalism whether delivering at a customer location or from a remote office. Cisco's consultants are subject matter experts in one or more of security technologies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Delivering professional services engagements to customers.

  • Conducting workshops to gather customer requirements

  • Writing statement of requirements

  • Creating customer High Level Design (HLD) in Cisco Security technologies

  • Creating customer Low Level Design (LLD) with Cisco Security Technologies

  • Deploying and configuring Cisco Security technologies (ISE/TrustSec, FirePower/FTD)

  • Creating Test Plans

  • Deploying and integrating Cisco security solutions into our fortune 100 customers

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in network & security area; be an extension of the customer’s team

  • Able to deliver to large scale deployments from requirements gathering to architecture & design.

  • Comfortable presenting to small groups and performs small-scale discussion/training.

  • Security Analysis Skills at the Expert level in ISE & TrustSec or SourceFire / FirePower technologies

  • Extensive travel delivering Professional Services

Working as part of the Global Security Services organization, you will be involved in delivery of both transactional and subscriptional projects to strategic customers throughout the EMEAR theatre. Projects vary considerably between security reviews; design and implementation of Cisco security products.

Who You Are

Minimum requirements:

  • Several years’ experience in delivering cyber security services engagements to customers in Cisco ISE & TrustSec technologies, consulting or sales engineering with outside clients and end users -- experience integrating/implementing network security products.

  • Knowledgeable in network security and skilled in security technologies (ideally TrustSec Solution and ISE Platform Architecture).

  • Experience integrating/implementing network security products such as ISE/TrustSec or our competitor products in the Network Access Control domain.

  • Extensive experience of Identity & Access Management or Threat Management Cyber Security product deployment and implementation.

  • Extensive knowledge/experience in Systems Engineering including evaluating, developing, customizing, installing, and supporting network systems.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken and listening)

  • Excellent authoring & writing skills.

  • You will be able to estimate levels of effort.

  • Understand project management and ways of working / breaking down to milestones.

  • You will be able to create HLD & LLD to a very high standard using Visio or other authoring tools.

  • Highly proficient in TCP/IP networking

  • CCIE, CISSP or other security certification or relevant experience and knowledge

Desirable skills:

  • UK Security Clearance (SC or DV). Ideally DV or DV Enhanced

  • Level of comfort presenting to groups of people

  • CCIE Security

  • Must be prepared to travel throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia
