This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast growing IoT division of Cisco that has a global footprint. We are looking to hire an extremely bright and ambitious Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Nanjing of China.
What You'll Do
As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer, you will directly contribute to the integrity, stability and success of our SaaS solution. Come join our fun, team with dynamic strengths for this very cool opportunity.
Tackle systems integration projects or development projects for monitoring, alerting, logging, scaling, and securing our cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operation teams to build, deploy and deliver a reliable and high-performance platform.
Assist with resolving escalated problems encountered in production or during releases.
Improve the DevOps feedback cycle by using production incidents to drive better automation, documentation, and monitoring that will reduce drag on staff efficiency.
Deliver high quality documentation and operations SOPs for new or existing system artifacts that can be used to share skills and facilitate better planning for our technical teams.
Work as part of a highly skilled team using Agile methodologies to deliver and maintain high quality, efficient and scalable components and features.
Understand the evolving business environment to help establish service metrics that meet the needs of our customers and delight our users.
Who You are:
At least 6-10 years of software engineering experience necessary, preferably with a SaaS product.
Proven experience and programming skills in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java and Python.
Experience with cloud technology and large-scale infrastructure automation.
At least 2 years of DevOps necessary, preferably with a SaaS product.
Good Knowledge of Microservices, RESTful API’s, Containerization technologies.
Good Knowledge of Message Queuing, Oracle or MySQL database.
Solid understanding of Linux systems.
Knowledge of networking protocols, VPN, DNS, HTTP, load balancing, web servers, splunk, Elasticsearch, etc.
At least 1 year of experience preferred with Agile approaches like Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
