What You’ll Do
You're Content Strategists with proven content strategy experience. The global initiatives we’re driving to transform the customer experience present a host of exciting opportunities for content professionals. As a Content Strategist at Cisco, you will help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple products and touch points. In addition, the job requires you to:
Improve the business impact of content
Engage w/ Customers, Product Marketing, and Technical Marketing teams
Communicate content strategy to Leadership, IT, and Tech Doc teams
Build customer journeys, personas, competitor analysis, etc.
Implement strong search engine optimization (SEO) practices, interpret user research and site analytics, and conduct audits to inform content needs and develop recommendations based on interpersonal goals and user needs
Assess Localization requirements and optimize necessary workflows.
Provide strong social-media focus.
Review and provide strategic direction to info architecture related work.
Recommend $$ savings for product and content offerings
Identify automation opportunities
Ideate on future-proofing content and how to take advantage of the (next) big thing
Become the voice of Tech Docs w/ the product teams
Think broadly and strategically about web content and how it can be used by the end-user
Develop campaign strategy with customer-facing teams for Cisco events
Who You'll Work With
Our teams develop most of Cisco's Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Network Management products. Who You Are
Do emerging trends like Augmented Reality, interactive videos, and personalized content delivery pique your interest? If your answer is “Yes,” we’d like to talk to you!
10 + years of experience in a content strategy or related role.
5 + years working in technical communications as a writer or other related role.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, online analytics, or related field.
Ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines at the same time.
A portfolio of work that demonstrates content that simplifies the overall product and content experience.
An ability to see the big picture, connect the dots across the company, and devise a strategy.
Exceptional communication on, and planning skills.
Analytical mind to review vast data, spot patterns-trends, and draw conclusions.
Familiarity with use of taxonomy for content management.
Creative and critical thinking skills to solve customer problems.
- Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, good teammate
You should be able to own large portions of the software from a technical perspective
- Handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial mentorship.
Have experience in customer deployment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong team building skills. In this role you'll be work across departments and with other teams
