What You’ll do

Cisco seeks a Regional Manager to lead the prestigious London based team for the UKI Commercial market. You will need to have with a strong background in executive-level communication, building customer and partner relationships, and territory planning and segmentation. This role involves positioning and promoting the Cisco value proposition, leading account managers in the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships.

The ideal candidate will need to have strategic technical knowledge, and can succeed as a leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment. This is a good opportunity to apply your sales leadership experience working with great sales teams and solutions using today's most innovative technologies in one of our most exciting markets. The role will require visionary leadership of the account teams covering these two markets.

The position is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy and tactics that maximize Cisco opportunity within the customer environment. Along with sales planning, this position is also responsible for accurate forecasting. Direct customer contact at a senior level will comprise a major portion of this assignment.

You will need to have both the sales skills and technical knowledge to do presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process. The successful candidate will need to make important resource decisions that apply both corporate and account team resources to new opportunities, and will be responsible for motivating and developing the Account Managers, Services leaders, and the wider Cisco professionals related to bid or execution activity.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop and retain top sales talent for the Region. Exceptional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and top grading skills

  • Develop Regional go-to-market business plan to exceed annual product, service and customer satisfaction objectives

  • Effectively motivate sales personnel, providing development through direct feedback

  • Develop and implement strategies to exceed sales objectives through effective use of direct and extended team resources

  • Work successfully in a collaborative, matrix management organization structure

  • Foster and facilitate a collaborative team environment which intersects empowerment with accountability

  • Inspire the team to see what is possible, and get them to think beyond a traditional linear mindset

  • Exceptional presentation, communication and influence skills (written and verbal)

  • Help facilitate and develop customer interactions and relationships with CXO's and other Line of Business executives within and outside of I/T

  • Be a steward of the Cisco culture

  • Understand the business climate, competitive environment, and share these findings and developments with management

  • MBA or graduate degree preferred
