Cisco Cloud Engineer in Denver, Colorado

Who You Are:

Provide recommendations and engineering operations support in Cloud Costs, Compliance Evidence collection and management and Security / Vulnerability Ticket management.

What You'll Do:

  • Cloud Cost Containment, Optimization and Management - using your knowledge and experience with Cloud constructs, ensure the team is utilizing the best services from a cost and performance perspective. Ensure Savings Plans and Reserved Instance coverage to keep costs down;

  • Partner with the engineering organization to converge on common infrastructure setup, tooling, and deployment processes;

  • Research and recommend technologies to help further product goals;

  • Security and Vulnerability Ticket management - work with ST&O organization to ensure all tickets are assigned and verified quickly and efficiently, with as little disruption as possible for the team; develop scripts to help reduce vulnerability ticketing and administrative burden on the team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years running cloud resources across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

  • 2+ years experience handling annual audits for business certifications.

  • 2+ years experience managing results from internal scanners for cloud resource vulnerabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competent and comfortable with SaaS applications and services, including office applications, collaboration, business services, etc. (e.g. Concur, Google Apps, EchoSign, etc.)

  • Competent and comfortable with Microsoft office tools, Procurement tools

  • Outstanding organizational skills; you should have the ability to take chaos and turn it into real results

  • Familiarity working in a fast-paced, demanding and deadline-driven environment

  • Availability outside of normal office hours

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on the phone and through correspondence

  • Ability to handle critical correspondence and situations with the utmost discretion

  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments

  • Ability to manage small projects and plan off-site meetings/events
