You will be part of a Regional Supply Chain Operations team accountable of guiding and leading our manufacturing partners to meet our customers' expectations as well as helping Cisco to create, implement and adopt new processes, platforms and technologies that enables better customer experience.

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead is the primary technical interface to the Manufacturing Partner site and is accountable for leading programs including strategy development, supporting analysis & stakeholder engagement for roadmap deployment for products and transformational projects.Workw closely with Product Operations, Business Units, Central Project Management teams, Technical Leaders and Regional Operations leaders to develop and deploye the network strategy at a site level. Position requires strong knowledge on PCBA manufacturing operations and SMT technology roadmap.

What you'll do

  • Supports manufacturing engineering functions at the manufacturing sites including:

    • Support NPI launch and govern sustaining products within manufacturing partners.
    • Assesses existing manufacturing lines and lays out new manufacturing process flows using industrial engineering principles (lean, minimal touch, strong visual controls).
    • Communicate highly-complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others to adopt a different point of view.
    • Debugs process and product problems using advanced techniques, collects data and analyzed yield problems to drive corrective action.
    • Designs the materials replenishment system to align with manufacturing processes, applies industrial engineering principles (lean, minimal touch, supermarkets, kanban, etc.).
    • Evaluates, develops and selects standards, tools and knowledge requirements for skill and career development.
    • Initiates technologies required for new products and processes.
    • Lead and manages product transfers activities and develops its strategy from a manufacturing perspective.
    • Manage plan capacity and planning strategy.
    • Manage suppliers and manufacturing partners, initiates cost reduction programs, assists with the development of six sigma goals.
    • Provides mentoring, guidance and instructions to less-experienced team members and colleagues.
    • Performs the most highly-complex Manufacturing Engineering tasks using extensive business experience.

Who you are

* * Typically requires a BS/MS in IE/EE/ME with 10+ years of experience at an electronics manufacturing factory.

* * Industry knowledge and understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and quality systems.

* * Working knowledge of statistical methods (SPC, AQL), as used in a Mfg. context.

* * Clarity in documenting issues. Persistence in following up on root cause analysis & corrective actions by responsible parties.

* * Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external partners.

* * Statistical analysis knowledge is plus.

* * Ability to multi-task and solve complex problems.

* * Ability to self-motivate with a strong desire to learn and ability to be flexible.

* * Strong written & verbal communication skills (in English).

* * Proven Program Management experience.

* * Experience in a Cross-Cultural and global work environment.

* * Lead and Drive change in collaboration with a diverse cross-functional team.

* * Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

* * You feel comfortable working under high pressure and get results with minimal direction.
