Business Architecture - Center of Excellence Lead

Who we are looking for: A technical leader, business focused, passionate technologist, who drives strategy and technology planning for Cisco Business Architects and Cisco partners while accelerating business innovation and outcomes.

Someone who acts to align the business value of Cisco multi-domain platform, architectures, solutions and services to our Customers’ business strategies.

Role Objectives

Direct the Americas Business Architecture (BA) Center of Excellence (CoE), a practice which evangelizes and promotes Cisco’s business architecture methodology across all Americas Segments, Cisco leadership and internal Cisco organizations.

Conduct the enablement of our Americas BA Community, development of our BA Capabilities and fosters the acceleration and scaling of BA use with our Americas Sales Teams and customers.

Co-development of Global BA practice and methods through partnership with EMEAR and APJC BA CoEs.

What You'll Do

Develop, Enable, and Grow our diverse and expanding community of Business Architects in the Americas.

Develop and Maintain Business Architecture Learning Maps across multiple levels of proficiency and aligned with our Sales Academy.

Actively engage and participate in building our Business Architecture Industry Practices with our Industry Solutions Group focusing on: Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Finance, Public Sector, etc.

Align technology to business strategy and proactively drive product and market direction throughout the organization

Engage with industry partners to evolve and drive a virtuous ecosystem.

Partner with cross-functional core stakeholders across sales leadership, product teams, CX organization, Global Virtual Engineering, and our Partner organization.

Deliver highly rated sessions at our Business Architecture VT, Account SE VT, CiscoLive, Cisco Connect, Industry Events, and other various internal events as needed.

Help to Scale, Execute, Train our SE Community on Business Architecture Tools and Methodologies as they are adopted by the Global Business Architecture CoE.

Promote Cisco Business Architecture at our large events such as Cisco Impact, DevNet, CiscoLive and Cisco Connect.

Lead workstreams focusing on Innovation, Acceleration and Scale of our SE Community, our Business Architecture Capabilities, and our Customers Success.

Establish and maintain formal and informal key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of the Business Architecture CoE and its initiatives.

Create and promote Business Architecture Spotlights to highlight the success and impact of BA Community to Sales Leadership

Act as the Business Architecture SME on any Americas projects or initiatives that require it.

Who You'll Work With

As part of a global organization, you will work with the Americas sales teams and their leadership to drive business outcomes for our customers. You will partner with global thought leaders on Business Architecture as well as field enablement and training teams and be responsible for building strong internal and customer focused relationships.

Who You Are

Advanced level Business Architecture training and certification

Experienced leading high impact cross-functional teams on a global basis

Have over 10 years of technology sales and consulting experience

You have stellar communication skills; presentation, written, verbal, listening, and influencing

Deeply experienced with the challenges of the field sales, support, and marketing teams based on actual experience

A detailed understanding of Cisco multi-domain architecture and strategy

Able to leverage a diverse portfolio of solutions to achieve a "better together" outcome

Capable of working in a multifaceted, change-intensive environment, while delivering consistent operational results

Valued Skills

Deep knowledge and understanding of Business Architecture methodology and tools, business capabilities including people, process, data and technology

Strong consulting lifecycle approach and business problem solving skills

Strong business acumen to articulate how technology can shape and define the customer business strategy and deliver value

Entrepreneurial skills and business savvy leadership to drive business change, ability to drive business innovation using Design Thinking
