Cisco is looking for an exceptional User Interface (UI) engineer who has excellent experience in designing and developing browser based applications, to help build network management system (NMS) for various Internet of Things (IOT) verticals. Bachelor or Master Degree in CS/EE or related engineering discipline
8 - 10 years of professional experience in software design and development
Proven ability to technically lead, collaborate and build complex software systems
Strong hands on programming experience in developing high-end Software/Web Applications using Java/Java 8, Object Oriented Programming, Analysis & Design
Ability to structure implementation for modularity, and future extensibility
Prior experience in developing middleware applications
Web Servers (Apache etc), Application Servers (Tomcat etc) using application frameworks such as Spring framework
Prior experience having used Postgres, Oracle databases, SQL and integrating with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
Prior experience in developing North bound APIs, web services such as REST APIs, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, JSON
Experience in integrating with Web UI technologies such as Java Script, jQuery, HTML5, JSON, XML, DOJO framework, Angular JS, React JS, bootstrap, CSS, DHTML, AJAX
Experience in developing applications for cloud and orchestration related technologies - OpenStack, Hypervisors(ESXi/KVM/HyperV) - is a plus
Experience in NoSQL database used in real-time web and big data applications is a plus
Experience having worked in Agile software development methodology is desirable
Experience developing applications running on Linux and Windows
Excellent communication skills, team work and collaboration
Innovative problem solver with a can do attitude
Write functional spec, design spec, design and develop various features of the product
Actively participate in code and design discussions and reviews
Demonstrate product ownership with focus on big picture and customer needs, challenge the status quo
Drive rapid feature development, align team to deliver in the most efficient path and mentor the team members
Work with customers, support, services and marketing team to root cause issues and understand customer needs
Work with documentation team in developing online help and appropriate documentation for various features
