What You’ll Do
This opportunity is for a Director to own the APJC CX Centres - Software Automation & Orchestration delivery function. This is a role based out of Bangalore, India. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with extensive leadership and management experience in the networking and software engineering space to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment, to make an impact for the company’s stated evolution towards Software, Cloud, Analytics and Subscription.
The APJC CX Centres Software Automation and orchestration services Leader will be responsible and deliver the following priorities and outcomes:
Primary Responsibilities include:
Deliver highly scalable, cloud-native and secure applications & platform services for CX product growth with a focus on innovation, agility and quality.
Engage with extended engineering teams across CX and Cisco Engineering organization to ideate and co-develop technology capabilities in support of the CX strategy.
Deliver highly scalable Orchestration Automation & Analytics solutions by integrating multiple Cisco Management/Orchestration platforms for global Enterprise and Service Provider customers.
Drive industry standard processes on delivery Methodology & Quality frameworks while innovating new DevOps approaches for delivery.
Partner with the senior architects to shape the architecture across our cloud, workflow & analytics platforms.
Build a culture of delivery predictability, quality and customer centricity within the engineering organization and help run the organization to slated metrics in these areas.
Build successful scaled teams that can deliver the world’s best cloud native software solutions.
Collaborate with executives across Cisco sites in driving employee, stakeholder and customer experience to be the best in the industry.
Empower, develop and build deep technical and managerial leadership pool.
Recruit outstanding engineering leaders to increase the bench strength of the organization and transform the abilities of the organization as a whole.
Who you Will work with:
You’ll be a leader in the global community of Cisco CX Automation Global Council, Cisco Engineering, CX Software Leaders, Product Management, Region P&L Leadership and Customers with respect to influencing future Automation roadmap and delivery strategies.
Who You Are
Around 20+ years of experience in technology industry with Experience in leading scaled delivery teams of automation solutions, cloud services with micro-services based architectures.
Experience with:
Building and shipping production grade software or services.
You have led several large sized projects to successful completion adopting Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of Programming languages such as Golang, NodeJS, Python, Java, API frameworks and Containers
Experience with Open Source Big Data Stack such as Hadoop, HIVE, SPARK, HBASE etc.
Working on a hyper-scale cloud platform - AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Enterprise integration architectures such as SOA, RESTful, ETL
Data analytics environments such as Hadoop, Sparks, MapR etc
DevOps Platforms like Jenkins, Artefactory, ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) and Ansible
TDD (Test Driven development) to write the test first, Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) to focus on testing based on business outcomes.
Awareness of Test Automation frameworks like ROBOT, Selenium, Cypress
Working knowledge of OSS/BSS systems and Microservices and Cloud Native architectures, Dockers and Kubernetes.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent specializations
Validated experience and skill in collaborating with Product Management, Architects, and global engineering teams to contribute to product strategy, vision, roadmap and features
